Operational Efficiency - Industrial Engineering - is Very Important All The Time

In an interview with Economic Times, AT Kearney chairman, Paul Laudicina said "Clients want improvement in current operating efficiency that contributes to the bottomline."  Corporate Dossier, ET, April 6, 2012.

The statement show the importance of operational efficiency. It is important all the time along with the other dimensions of the performance of an enterprise. No doubt the number one concern of the management or the organization keeps changing from time to time, but each performance measure is important and proper attention is not given, it will become a weak point over a period of time. Industrial engineers have to recognize their primary role as persons maintaining and improving the operational efficiency of the organization.
