Science and Engineering - The Difference

Scientists find the cause for an effect in the nature. The cause is also an event in the nature. Actually scientific explanation is explanation of an event in nature with occurrence of another event in nature.

Engineering taken an effect as given and creates the cause that will give the effect. It comes to know of the cause to be created through the science.
