IE Six Sigma - Robust Productive Process Design
Industrial engineers have to do six sigma improvement or calculation of the process redesigned by them.
The six sigma procedure identifies the set of discrete parameters that give the lowest variation. So after industrial engineers redesign the process, that provide additional steps or values of discrete parameters, six sigma exercise can be done. This exercise will confirm the productivity benefit of IE redesign and also in addition confirms the quality of the process also. It is a good integration of productivity and quality dimensions.
