Overview

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Supply Chain Industrial Engineering is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s Supply Chain Industrial Engineering strategy across all DC facilities and DC associates throughout the United States. This includes, but is not limited to, process and productivity improvement, engineered standards and incentives, staffing modeling, and leadership of engineering teams in all locations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership, develop strategies, and coordinate engineering activities for the Supply Chain Industrial Engineering teams at each distribution campus, with a strong focus on continuous process improvement across all DC operations, with a focus on labor cost reductions while maintaining safety and service levels.

Evaluate and improve distribution operational costs surrounding units per hour (UPH) and cost per unit. Analyze Fulfillment Center methods and operations, develop improvement plans, and recommend and/or implement changes based on standard Industrial Engineering principles.

Develop and maintain all engineered standards and incentive programs. Oversee work performance evaluation and time studies to assist with process creation and labor standards. Partner with Operations to ensure programs to support performance against engineered standards (such as coaching and training) are in place, successful, and sustainable.

Evaluate and enhance DC staffing models, ensuring they are tied to engineered standards and financial budgets. Ensure cohesion between the engineering and production departments on the use of staffing plans.

Work on one-off special projects as designated by management

Education and Qualifications:

BS Industrial Engineering/similar, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years progressive experience in engineering, consulting, or distribution operations.

Proven experience in maintaining and updating engineered standards and incentive programs.

A Day in the Life

This role is responsible for leading technical supply chain design and performance in alignment with CRHF Operations and Supply Chain strategies.
