Prioritize and drive performance improvements that will have the biggest overall impact on the business results and on delivering operational excellence to customers, by challenging the status quo, coaching, and embedding a mindset of continuous improvement to achieve performance excellence.
You are responsible for
Analyzing existing business processes using various methods such as gap analysis or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and directly observing opportunities for improvement as well as losses, and troubleshoot further to determine root causes.
Acting as an internal consultant, developing short- and long-term strategies for the organization and incorporating Six Sigma, Agile, 6S, Kaizen, TOC and other practices; supporting the business in resolving issues, using lean and Six Sigma tools, CI methodology and Kaizen events as a way to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory within your assigned geography and business perimeter.
Facilitating progress and reduce costs in terms of workflow inefficiencies; maintaining Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology and tools on one or more specific areas.
Serving as a coach, coordinating workshops and team trainings, openly sharing guidance and technical expertise and ensuring that learning resources are widely available by deciding on and arranging specific Train the Trainer Sessions
Coordinating and leading key projects for improvement across all levels of the organization and you may supervise several teams directly or collaborate with managers to re-engineer processes. This includes calibrating, assessing and coaching the organization in determining CI Maturity.
Ensure your kaizen events and Six Sigma projects are properly planned, executed and sustained.
Assess key business metrics and situations from a “Site Leader's” point of view and engage with the Management Team and middle managers, helping them in identifying opportunities where lean, 6S and CI tools can used to improve metrics and situations.
Monitoring progress in order to check if changes, yield desirable results. Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and then compare actual project results against these, regularly generating detailed update reports for management.
You are a part of
Manufacturing Engineering organization responsible for driving continuous improvement across the entire ME department. You will be part the Image Guided Devices (IGT) Devices business group, directly impacting the CI efforts at our Colorado Springs site and synchronizing efforts and share learnings with our other facilities.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred
5 + years relevant working experience in medical device manufacturing operation preferred or another highly regulated industry.
Be capable to drive change with sense of urgency and bias for action
Lean, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma experience preferred

Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Manager guides the company in the application of expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Engineering to eliminate waste, reduce cost, and grow top line revenue. This position will manage a team of CI engineers to ensure top performance of company Lean cost savings. This individual lead, guides, and executes continuous improvement initiatives throughout Delta Faucet Company HQ and facilities, while helping to extend deployment of continuous improvement approaches to Delta's supplier and customer locations. This position is a driving force in accelerating Lean and Six Sigma cultural transformation!
Responsibilities
- Train, guide, and lead others in the application of expert level knowledge in CI methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Value Engineering) to improve quality, reduce cost, improve business processes and improve customer service.
- Lead, guide, and coach others on the rapid Lean deployment (Kaizen) events to reduce waste in both business and plant processes.
- Identify, lead, and train others on proper implementation of Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt projects.
- Assure that CI initiatives support Delta's strategic business goals and objectives.
- Coordinate the selection, prioritization, scoping, planning and implementation of CI projects and events.
- Establish strategic and tactical CI plans and lead the implementation of those plans. Leads teams responsible for the planning, preparation and implementation of CI initiatives. Assists suppliers and Masco sister companies in implementing CI methodologies.
- Resolve implementation issues, creates and manages implementation communication processes, and ensures consistency of implemented processes and programs.
- Stay abreast of the latest external developments in continuous improvement best practices and helps bring those new learning’s to Delta Faucet as appropriate.
- On occasion, utilize broad skill set to complete various operations management, supply chain, and business development projects that do not necessarily fall under the realm of CI.
Education & Experience
B.S. degree in an Engineering or other technical related discipline.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in professional roles within a manufacturing company
A minimum of 3 years in a Continuous Improvement role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High level of technical knowledge regarding CI methodologies and have demonstrated problem solving, planning, and project management skills from previous work experience.
Good interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate and build strong working relationships with individuals and within teams at all levels of the organization.
Skilled at facilitating and leading cross-functional teams through structured CI processes such as Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping workshops.
Think and act independently with little direct guidance.
