INTRODUCTION TO MODERN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
Product industrial engineering and process industrial engineering are two important methods of productivity engineering. We can identify industrial engineering at a level higher than process, that engineering changes that benefit multiple processes. Facilities industrial engineering is a method that does engineering changes to facilities that are used multiple processes. This module covers process industrial engineering in detail.
The Objective of Process Industrial Engineering
The objective of process industrial engineering is value addition to the organization through cost reduction by productivity engineering. Week after week, measurable value addition can be done by industrial engineers through creative redesign based on new technical developments, special IE studies of processes and operations, involvement all employees of the organization, and through the consulting inputs.
My special emphasis is that Industrial engineers have to understand the process plan and make efforts to improve the process plan based on the current use of the process plan in the shop. This process plan perspective is not emphasized in motion and time study books. There is no other standard book for process improvement in IE discipline. Process Industrial Engineering has to be a core subject in IE curriculms.

Supply chain industrial engineering articles are posted in advance in this collection. They will form part of applied industrial engineering. But process charts have to include supply chain process chart also or supply chain component. This is a major innovation brought into industrial engineering by me.
