Undergraduate Programs

Curriculum
As an ISE student, you’ll take the following courses to prepare for a career as an industrial engineer:

General education courses: English, Economics, Communications

General math and science courses: Calculus, Chemistry, Physics

Industrial engineering fundamental courses: Engineering Economy, Statistics, Work Measurement, Operations Research, Computer Simulation, Six Sigma

Basic engineering courses: Electric Circuits, Materials Science

In addition, you’ll complete a group of courses related to your intended professional practice. We offer these Professional Concentration Areas:

Saeed Ghanbartehrani is an assistant professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering department at Ohio University. He received the PhD degree in Industrial engineering with major in information systems and minors in computer science and manufacturing systems from Oregon State University in 2015. His research involves data driven optimization and decision making and teaches courses in areas including information systems, data analytics, and databases.
