What is Productivity Engineering? Role at HomeAway.
The goal of the Productivity Engineering is to innovate in order to make HomeAway development teams go fast (Quality@Velocity). We are the Tools and Infrastructure experts who help teams solve complex problems with code and advanced engineering science. We collaborate with teams to understand their CI/CD challenges and provide them with solutions, removing constraints. Productivity Engineers build and maintain tools that every team can leverage for success. We promote and support state of the art frameworks so teams can produce awesome applications with rapid feedback loops.
As a Productivity Engineer there is a high likelihood of movement around the HomeAway development ecosystem to help teams solve any complex problem with code and science.

Challenges you can work on:
- Own and drive the delivery of productivity tools, processes and web platform infrastructure to enable high velocity with quality across the Product Development teams
- Use real-time data to understand customers’ needs before they do
- Reliable monitoring and Dashboards to improve team responsiveness and application resilience
- Dockerize our apps and services for rapid deployment to the cloud
- Develop features that will drive our business using real-time feedback loops
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology advancement.
- Participate in the definition and promotion of engineering best practices within the organization in collaboration with our other engineering leaders.
