Human Engineering

While I advocate Human Effort Engineering, Human Engineering seems to be another discipline in existence.
50 Years of Human Engineering: History and Cumulative Bibliography of the Fitts Human Engineering Division

Green, Rebecca et. al. Published by the Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, through the Government Printing Office, 1995.

This book details the history of the Fitts Human Engineering Division.
With many interesting pictures, this book gives a glimpse into what man had to endure in order to achieve the accomplishments we have in space travel.

The subject seems to be Ergonomics only. The alternate name of Human Factors Engineering is also there. But Human Engineering is sufficiently popular as there are many references.
