Job Functions:
Is a central function role where the incumbent is required to fulfil the role of project (Robotics) and development engineer (IoT projects) to ensure the successful implementation of projects related to Industry 4.0
Goal is to ensure improvement in Quality and Service, with a reduction of overall cost through Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Job responsibilities cover three main areas of Industry 4.0 :- Robotics, IoT (Internet of Things) and Extended Reality.
1. Work with stakeholders for the successful execution of ongoing roll out of Robotics and IoT projects with all production sites
2. Conduct proof of concept with sites on projects with high return of investment and measure the success of the project through deliverables
3. Establish POR (Plan of Record) for the industry 4.0 projects
4. Survey the industry for the latest technologies and how they can be implemented measuring cost versus gains
5. Drive industrial prototype of new solutions with sites and R&D after POC (Proof of Concept) to deliver
6. Plan with site responsible to budget necessary capex to support growth of Industry 4.0 projects
7. PR/PO and GRN follow up with purchasing and site project leaders on yearly budget allocated for Industry 4.0 projects
8. Provide In house training for new hires and promote the use of Industry 4.0 techniques to staff in organization
9. Management of Polytechnic interns on IOT projects
10. Execute Patents upon successful proof of concept
Job Requirement:
1. Relevant Bachelor/ master’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering
2. Relevant 2-5 years of experiences in a quick pace manufacturing environment
3. Semiconductor manufacturing experience is an advantage
4. Knowledge of basic python programming is an advantage
5. Able to prepare reports in visualization tools like PowerBI / Qlikview
6. Knowledge of basic SQL is an advantage
7. Innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver
8. Team-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in relating to both internal and external customers.
9. Able to work independently
10.Able to travel.

Job description
You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST as part of the Industrial Engineering team of the new SiC Substrates Fab in Catania.
Main Activities of the IE team:
· Create and maintain the Fab capacity model to be used for production control and Industrial Eng purposes (layout, capacity figures, material routing, etc.)
· Provide Line Capacity data for Corporate Planning/Costing systems
· Monitor Fab performance by KPI management and develop the most efficient strategies to maximize the productivity of people, machines, materials (OEE, Cycle Time Improvement, WIP & material management…)
· Evaluate equipment requirements for Capacity investments
· Contribute to the automation solutions
· Work closely with manufacturing planning, production, engineering and quality to achieve output delivery performance and manufacturing efficiency
Profile
Candidates that best fit this role should have/be:
Master or Bachelor's degree ideally in Management Engineering or equivalent with experience in IE activities in manufacturing environment
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
· Open mindedness and ability to drive change
· Strong team working skills
· Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite/ Be very proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
· Basic knowledge of Project Management principles
· Skills on Programming languages/Autocad/Data Analysis/Simulations tools is a plus
· Knowledge of Lean/Agile methods and techniques is a plus
